I've given this site it's own domain name, and am giving it a bit
of an update... mostly some new backgrounds and effects, but I'll work
thro updating and tidying the various sections as I go :o)

Wow, the first time I've writen here in 2003, tho this is not
the first update of 2003... the Quiz has seen a fair few additions,
ThanX for all your help in adding to it!! :o)

I've just updated, and re-linked to the T-shirt competition. There had
only been 2 entries, and I didn't quite know what to do for a while
there... but I've decided to make both T-shirts as send them out, cos
anything else seems unfair. I had hoped for more designs, and to
have been able to make a voting system... but alas :o\

Nothing really new, I just thought I'd write something here for
fun... since I've not made any major additions for a while. I have
been regularly updating the Quiz, with your help... THANKS!
to everyone who have sent suggestions for quotes or questions!

Oh, I did delete all my old website files... because I think some
people were still wandering around my old pages, possibly because
they'd bookmarked pages within my site... and they were therefore
missing the new pages that have appeared since my site's move
to www.lightsauce.com/legend - this has caused a few problems
tho, with the Yahoo! Groups I'd made group images for loosing
those images... opps!

I also started a Legend T-Shirt competition a while ago, that
I don't think I mentioned here... there have been two entries, but
no more than that for a while now. I hope I do get some more
entries, and can start some form of voting system for them.

This site is now running from www.lightsauce.com a
new domain that a friend in Singapore and i are starting up!
So at last, my Legend site will be free of ad. squares and other
problems. There are a lot of extra features too, available via the
Dreamhost service who are hosting the domain so i will be making
the most of those, and adding some new things soon, i'm sure!

Updated the Ring page to indicate that after zooming in on the ring
at the end of the film I reckon the ring does not change at the end.

Just as a funny little thing I noticed while watching the DVD with
subtitles turned on... where in the film do the lines,

I got 'Legend', the Region 2 re-release of the European version today!
I've scanned in the covers and CD artwork (crossed over so I can make them
a reasonable resolution, without helping anyone produce pirated copies in any way!).

I've recently bought the Macromedia Wed Design Studio
so will be working on this site now with Dreamweaver rather
than Frontpage :o) I'm also getting into Flash, so I'll be adding
Flash here and there too... to try out the stuff I learn :o)

I've changed the Introduction to Flash and also added a funky
Flash effect thingie to the bottom image on the Unicorn page.

Created a Legend skin for Windows Media Player :o) It's based
on Microsoft's own 'Rusty' skin, tho I personally find Media Player 7 a pain in the neck and always try to use the older 6.5... I'm going
skin crazy at the moment, cos I've a lot of time on my hands right
now and this whole skin thing is fascinating :o) It's hard work too,
but... I'm learning :o)

Started up a new WebRing for Legend called 'whoever finds this ring'
because since the WebRing service has split away from Yahoo! the old
Legend WebRing seems to have lost the plot. The new WebRing service
offers a load more features than Yahoo! ever did, with more to come
and I'm planning on putting a lot of work into pulling the ring back
together so we can all enjoy surfing around the Legend Ring again.

Had a play with the horse models in Poser 4 and created
a desktop of the unicorns - I also found a pair of desktops I'd
made a long time ago, but never put up on my page... they're
all on the desktop page.

At last, I've managed to re-install Klik'n'Play... pesky .dll
files are so much trouble!!!... anyways, it means that I've been
able to update my email details in the game - no big deal
I guess - but I feel inspired to maybe have a go at creating
a new game... maybe, see first :o)

Geocities have been shutting this site down from time to time
because it's taking up to much bandwidth for a free site, due to
the ludicrous amount of graphics I imagine (o: so I'm currently
working to spread out some of the files to my UK Geocities
account, to spread the load a bit... so you may find that there

I've recreated the main frame layout of my site so that it is now
one frameset rather than several nested framesets... so that hopefully
the Yahoo! advert will no longer appear in some of the smaller

Nothing much added, just deleted The Legend Hollow in
favour of supporting the Yahoo! Group 'Loved by the Sun'
as well as deleting the old Legend DVD news in the hope
of some new news coming along soon, as there has been
none for a long while now :o\

Created 'The Legend Hollow' a new group on Yahoo! Groups
were I hope we can get together and share files, views, news,
discussion and... well, let's just see if anyone joins first :o)

I'm not going to be taking the Group too seriously... you
don't have to be a hard-core Legend fan or anything, and I
hope to moderate the group so that it will be a cool place
anyone of any age - having never done anything like this

Yay! - I found out how to get favicon.ico set as my page's Favourites icon on Geocities! I thought the feature was disabled on Geocities, cos it should normally work if you simply put an icon named favicon.ico in the root directory of your webpage. All you have to do tho, is rename any icon to favicon.ico and put it in the same folder as your main homepage... then add this HTML: <LINK rel="SHORTCUT ICON" href="favicon.ico"> anywhere between the <HEAD> and </HEAD> tags - next time someone using Internet Explorer bookmarks your page, they'll see your funky icon in their favourites! :o)

Added a new Search engine feature, by Picosearch that allows you to search for keywords on my site... to help you find stuff :o) - I might spend some time and clean up my pages so that the search results are a bit prettier and more meaningful... cos for things like pictures, if there is a pic of Tom Cruise but I didn't bother to put 'Tom Cruise' in it's ALT tag then it won't show up in the search - but anyways, at least it works :o)

I've recently be raiding www.builder.com's 'Stupid Web Tricks' pages too... so expect some annoying effects and junk soon :op hehe
